Greene is angry that Rep. Chip Roy of Texas opposed her effort to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) November 1, 2023Twenty-three Republicans, including Roy, voted against the resolution moving forward. Her conduct is unbecoming of a member of Congress and certainly worthy of condemnation - if not censure," Roy said in a statement after his vote. "However, tonight's feckless resolution to censure Tlaib was deeply flawed and made legally and factually unverified claims, including the claim of leading an 'insurrection'." Talib said Greene's resolution was "deeply Islamophobic" and made clear she would not change her approach.

A GOP representative compared Palestinian civilians to Nazis in a speech on the House floor. More than 8,000 Palestinian civilians have been reported killed in less than a month by the Israeli military. AdvertisementAdvertisementSpeaking on the House floor on Wednesday, a Republican congressman compared Palestinian civilians to Nazis. Mast equated Palestinian civilians to civilians of World War II-era Nazi Germany weeks after Hamas terrorists launched a large-scale coordinated attack against Israel, leading to more than 1,400 Israeli civilian deaths. "I think when we look at this as a whole, I would encourage the other side to not so lightly throw around the idea of innocent Palestinian civilians," Mast said.

CNN —As Europe’s victory at the Ryder Cup was confirmed, one fan couldn’t help but make a splash – quite literally. Tommy Fleetwood ensured that Europe would triumph against the USA on a tense final day when he took the 16th hole of his singles match against Rickie Fowler. The excitement proved too much for some, including a spectator who was green-side for the all-important moment. The fan darted across the hole and made a beeline for the water hazard, removing – and then dropping – his cap before taking the plunge. Maddie Meyer/PGA of America/Getty ImagesThe celebrations followed Europe’s 16.5-11.5 victory in Rome, meaning the USA’s quest for an away Ryder Cup triumph stretches to 30 years.

TOKYO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Osaka police breathed a sigh of relief on Friday after no serious incidents were reported in the wake of the Hanshin Tigers' first Central League title win in 18 years as fans kept a lid on their celebrations. Police deployed 1,300 officers in the downtown area on Thursday evening as the Tigers took on the Yomiuri Giants needing one more win to secure the pennant. More than 5,000 people were estimated to have jumped into the river after the team's 2003 title win, leading to fatalities. "Tigers fans were much more calm than we had expected," said Satoshi Oshimo, an Osaka prefecture police officer. The Tigers will look to build on their regular season success by winning the Japan Series for just the second time.

KFC recently turned a viral TikTok video with false information to its advantage. Photo: Mark Lennihan/Associated PressColonel Sanders probably would have shown the youngsters the door, but KFC met them halfway. In March a viral TikTok video falsely said the chain was offering free refills on a bucket of chicken to anyone who could finish it in 60 minutes, inviting many to try and be denied more food. The chain turned lemons into lemonade, though, offering a $10 bucket promotion on its app and coupons to disappointed carnivores. KFC parent Yum Brands ’ shareholders should probably view the bucket as half full even as the stock fell in early trading Wednesday.
Russian state media showed a mass KFC delivery to the Moscow hotel where China's delegation is staying. The order was odd since KFC pulled out of Russia last year and stores are supposed to have rebranded. State-media agency Ruptly, part of the RT network, reported that Xi's delegation headed to the five-star Soluxe hotel in Moscow after arriving Monday for a three-day state visit. "The recipients of the food were unknown," the outlet noted, though it pointed out that China's delegation had just arrived. Brands, sold its restaurants to a Russian operator, which is supposed to have rebranded them under the name Rostic's.
Friends of the late Colonel Sanders are selling his former home and a restaurant he set up. The restaurant, the Claudia Sanders Dinner House, is named after his wife and sells fried chicken. But some of the potential buyers, which include restaurant groups and serial entrepreneurs, want to franchise the Claudia Sanders restaurant and open new sites elsewhere, Klunk told The Post. The Claudia Sanders Dinner House describes itself as a "local landmark" serving "the finest in country cooking." Memorabilia included with the lot include Colonel Sanders' watch and bible, the first KFC flag and bucket, and a letter President Richard Nixon sent to Sanders in 1972.
"There is so much rich history included in this sale; it is exciting to think about the potential that lies ahead for the right buyer — to honor and protect this legacy and grow the brand even further," Klunk said.
